Villa Catignano Wedding in Tuscany

Lucy & Dan’s destination Villa Catignano wedding in Tuscany was one of those celebrations that feels more like a dream than reality. Set over four incredible days just outside Siena, it brought together the couple’s closest family and friends from the UK for an unforgettable experience in the heart of Italy. From the very first moment, the atmosphere was relaxed, joyful, and full of love.

The festivities began with a warm welcome and a laid-back pizza party under the Tuscan sky. With long wooden tables, fairy lights strung through the trees, and the irresistible smell of fresh wood-fired pizza in the air, it was the perfect way to kick off the celebrations.

The wedding day itself was amazing. Surrounded by rolling hills, olive groves, and vineyards, Lucy & Dan said their vows in the gardens of the villa. The ceremony was deeply personal and emotional, followed by a cocktail hour that kept everyone smiling. Not only because of the drinks and canapés, but also thanks to the fun games scattered across the lawn. From giant Jenga to old school badminton , the playful vibe added an extra layer of charm to the day.

How Lucky are we?

As photographers who had the pleasure of traveling from Portugal to be part of this celebration, we felt incredibly lucky to capture it all. Most of the other vendors – from the florist to the hair and makeup artists, and even the band, came from the UK.

One of the highlights for us was sneaking off on the first day with Lucy & Dan into the historic streets of Siena for a portrait session. The narrow alleys, textured walls, and rich tones of the old city provided the perfect contrast to the softness of the Tuscan countryside and gave the couple a beautiful variety of images to remember their time in Italy.

The final day was a perfect ending to it all. A laid-back hangover BBQ party where everyone could relax, recharge, and reflect on the magic of the weekend. With grilled food, more wine, and plenty of shared memories, it felt like the celebration could have gone on forever.

Lucy & Dan’s wedding was a full experience! A gathering of souls who clearly adore the couple and who came together to celebrate their love in the most heartfelt way. We’re so grateful to have been there, and Tuscany – with its beauty, light, and timeless charm – will always hold a special place in our hearts because of it.
