Jacqueline and Ruben’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of love and cultural fusion, set in the picturesque Herdade dos Delgados in Alentejo, Portugal.
Originally from Vietnam, Jacqueline and Ruben, with Portuguese background, live in Switzerland but chose Ruben’s family roots in Alentejo as the perfect backdrop for their special day. The couple had planned to hold their outdoor ceremony at the nearby Castelo de Mourão, a stunning castle rich with history. But the unpredictable Portuguese weather had other ideas. Due to rain, the ceremony was moved indoors at the venue, a seamless change thanks to the expertise of their wedding planner, ByMatilda.
Jacqueline looked radiant, with her hair and makeup done by the talented Vanessa Marinho. The couple honored both of their heritages by wearing two different outfits. They first donned traditional Vietnamese wedding attire, paying homage to Jacqueline’s culture, before changing into classic European wedding clothes to reflect Ruben’s background. This thoughtful blend of traditions made the day even more special and meaningful for their families and guests.
After the ceremony, dinner was held inside a beautifully decorated tent next to the pool. The intimate and elegant setting allowed guests to enjoy the festivities despite the rain. Following the delicious meal, the real party began. DJ John’z kept the energy high, with music that got everyone dancing into the night, making the celebration truly unforgettable.
Jacqueline and Ruben’s wedding was a day filled with love, cultural respect, and joy, perfectly reflecting their journey as a couple.
